Coach and Mentor

Supporting Manchester Internships is not about financial donations - it's a pledge to give time, share knowledge and develop skills.

Mentors are employees from participating host organisations, who devise work-based projects that will educate the Intern, whilst making a contribution to the organisation. Mentors act as guides and advisors, helping Interns to reach their potential and to successfully complete their Internship projects.

Coaches are employed by the school, academy or college, so they already have a knowledge and understanding of the Intern and their learning needs. They guide students as they identify and apply for suitable Internships. Coaches also monitor and assess how Interns are progressing as they undertake their projects and help them to use their Internship experience positively as they progress in to employment or higher education.
